Use Ambient and Task Lighting

Overhead lighting makes navigating living rooms, kitchens, and the like much easier, but it is also very cozy to layer in your ambient and task lighting. Use standing lamps and table lamps with warm, incandescent light bulbs or LEDs to create a more inviting atmosphere.

Use Natural Christmas Decor

Natural items like evergreen boughs, holly branches, and pine cones warm the heart. Spending time in nature is good for the soul, and so is decorating your home with it, especially during Christmas.

Add Your Favorite Scents

The smell of a place can change how we perceive it. If you like scents, add your favorite festive scents. Gingerbread, cinnamon, balsam and pine, and eucalyptus are all great ones!
